The Mold Boot Camp offers participants a path to recovering from exposure to a water damaged building and Mold Illness, also known as Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome (CIRS). The experience is a mix of education, personalized clinical planning, and community building. This is a breakthrough approach to recovering from Mold exposure and regaining one’s life back from this devastating illness.
Program
Participants will be assigned to a group of 7-8 people. The group will meet by Zoom 7 times in a calendar year. Each session is 2 hours, during which time formal teaching on key subjects will be delivered by Dr. Heyman for about 20 minutes. The group will then have ample time to discuss individual challenges and needs, where problem solving and clinical management will occur by Dr. Heyman and group members. This format offers the best of all worlds – learning in detail best practices to managing the illness, personalized plans progressing through the 5 steps of treatment, and support through the group model to build connection and community.
Additionally, two 15 minute telephone visits will be scheduled with Dr. Heyman during the year as well. In total, 14.5 hours of contact time through 9 sessions is achieved as we immerse into the world of Mold Illness (CIRS) over the course of a year.
Finally, the participant can choose to add the VIP program, which offers unlimited access to Dr. Heyman and staff through the patient portal. This allows for ongoing management between sessions should issues arise that need immediate attention and offers the reassurance of a continual tether to Dr. Heyman during the year journey.
